Course Description: This practical course provides skills and techniques for handling any communication situation with greater flexibility, confidence, and impact. The participants will assess their communication strengths and weaknesses, as well as enhance their ability to understand others. Defining communication and effective listening skills, identifying and avoiding communication barriers, and learning how to motivate and influence others will be included. 

What Will be Covered:

  • Understand the characteristics of effective communicators 

  • Identify barriers to effective communication

  • Recognize and assess your own communication style · Increase your understanding of how your behavior impacts others and the way others respond to you

  • Choose words that are appropriate for a particular situation 

  • Use verbal and nonverbal techniques that help get your message across 

  • Learn techniques for giving and receiving constructive feedback 

  • Communicate the appropriate visual, verbal, and vocal message

  • Sharpen your listening skills

  • Improve telephone communication skills

  • Create an action plan for continually improving interpersonal skills

Methodology: Workbook exercises, role-plays, handouts, lecturettes, group exercises, overhead slides 

Participants: 10 -25

Time-frame: One day
